Estate  sales are a great way to liquidate the entirety of one’s estate – all  personal belongings – often after a major life change such as death,  moving (into assisted living or selling the home), divorce or even  downsizing. Whatever your needs, Make It Happen Estate Sales will do  their best to make the process a smooth one. The sale normally occurs at  the home or some designated area.


Some  homes are a packed and dusty, and some are loaded with everything you  can imagine (including collections and antiques) that are considered  “treasures”. You don’t have to clean up and throw away items you think  are worthless. Hold them! Let us do the hard work and determine what  might sell and what holds a great value. Many times, things that appear  to be “junk” are actually quite valuable and the family gets a nice  surprise when they found out what it sold for. Nice surprises are a good  thing!

Our Simple 10 Step Process

  1. Call  847-445-0271 or Email us (on our Contact Page) requesting a Free  Consultation for us to come out to your home to both discuss our  services as well as review the home contents.
  2. We  will email you the same evening with either a contract proposal or an  email suggesting what your best options might be if we don’t feel the  sale has enough items to sell or some other reason(s) that might impact a  successful sale. We will explain everything. We do NOT simply vanish,  and go away and never contact you again.
  3. Upon  you reviewing the easy to read contract, a signature and a committed  sales date are agreed upon and the contract is sent back.
  4. Make It Happen Estate Sales will sign the contract and the estate sales process will now begin with us.
  5. Unlike many companies, we OFFER PRE-SALES on furniture. We maximize every opportunity to make a sale happen.
  6. Professional  photos and a thorough description of your wonderful items that will be  in the estate sale is what we focus on. We will ALWAYS attempt to get  every viewer excited about wanting to come to our sale. The photos are  organized to appeal to all viewers. They can easily view the items.
  7. The  contents in the house are staged in a professional manner (with black  skirted tables) and clearly marked price tags. Our knowledge and  research to price every item FAIR and REASONABLE is why we have a great  following. Prices are NOT ridiculous because we want to sell the item  NOW, not in 3 days (at the 50% level). Maximizing sales is what we are  all about! 
  8. Customers have 4 methods of payment: Cash, Venmo, Zelle and Credit/Debit cards.
  9. We WILL negotiate customer discounts and bulk purchases when appropriate.
  10. Payment  will be made to you within 5 business days of the final sale day.  Payment can be as a cashier check, Zelle or Venmo. It will be your  choice.
